I am done for now with the Arrow Flash fanart... after failing at doing it digitally painted from scratch, I decided to go back and use outlines again. I just hope one day I will understand to create something without defining it through an outline...  All you people knowing stuff about digital painting, please tell me how to further improve this work and my painting in general. Don't go easy on me with the critique! The picture itself is a more colorful rendering of the european boxart for Arrow Flash. I did because a) Arrow Flash is a fun little game with cool robot-designs (gotta love bunny ear-antennas) b) you fight viking terrorists from SPACE c) I need to train my digi-painting skills and I am not good enough for coming up with something completely from scratch. Arrow Flash is (C) by SEGA / Renovation Game (1990) Star Background is from Turrican 3 (C) Factor 5 / Rainbow Arts (1992) If you like this and happen to use it for something, please drop me a line. I'd love to see this on something Retrogame-related, feel free to use it especially for such things. |
